Our first Durham Regional Police Appreciation Dinner and Awards Night was held in November 2003 at Trafalgar Castle in Whitby. Since then, over 2,800 people have attended the awards with approximately $400,000 being raised.

Thanks to your generous contributions, numerous important community policing programs have been funded, helping the Durham Regional Police Service make our community one of the safest in which to live, work and play:

  • DRPS Disabled Children’s Games
  • Specialized vehicles for disabled kids for use in the Kids’ Safety Village
  • DRPS Food & Toy Drive
  • DRPS Pipes and Drums
  • Soft furnishings for the interview room in the Victim Services Unit
  • A scholarship bursary for a second year Police Foundations student at Durham College
  • Racing Against Drugs child education program
  • Anti-child pornography investigative software
  • Anti-Robbery Kit
  • Regional Youth Summit
  • Special Olympics Ontario

  • Traffic Radar Trailer & Stats Pack
  • DRP Band “The Heat” Van
