Robbery at Convenience Store in Ajax

Police are trying to determine the identities of three male suspects involved in a convenience store robbery in Ajax early yesterday morning.

On Wednesday July 21, 2010 at approximately 1:48 a.m. three disguised male suspects entered a convenience store located on Rossland Road East and accosted the lone male employee, demanding cash. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and pointed it at the employee, who was not physically harmed. The suspects left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot westbound along Rossland Road. The investigation is ongoing and police are appealing to the public for their assistance in identifying the suspects.

Suspect #1 is described as: male, black, wearing dark clothing, a bandana disguise and carrying a handgun.
Suspect #2 is described as: male, black, wearing dark clothing and a bandana disguise covering his face.
Suspect #3 is described as: male, white, wearing dark clothing, carrying a backpack and a bandana disguising his face.

Anyone with new information on this incident is asked to call Det. Jim Houston of the Major Crime Robbery Unit at 905-579-1520 x 5355 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222 (TIPS) 8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
