15-Year-Old Arrested After Making Threats Against a School in Ajax

A young female is facing charges after making threats to carry out a school shooting in Ajax.

On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., members of the West Division Central Investigations Branch (CIB) received information related to a potential school shooting at Archbishop Denis O’Connor Catholic High School, in Ajax.  A snapchat post from a female was flagged, stating she would “shoot up a school” in Ajax.  Through further investigation, members of CIB identified the suspect.

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, at approximately 1:20 a.m., members of CIB attended the suspect’s residence, and took her into custody without incident.

No weapons were located in the suspect’s residence. At this time police do not have any concerns for public safety.

A 15-year-old female from Ajax is charged with: Uttering Death Threats.

She was released on an Undertaking.
