18-Year-Old Male Suffers Serious Injuries after a Collision in Oshawa
An 18-year-old male is in hospital with serious injuries after a major collision in Oshawa Friday afternoon.
On Friday, June 21st, 2024, at approximately 3:45 p.m., members from Central East Division responded to a report of a collision involving four motor vehicles on Ritson Road just north of Wildflower Court, in Oshawa. A green GMC pickup truck was heading southbound when it lost control and hit a black Buick Vera, also going southbound, followed by two northbound vehicles, a grey Toyota RAV4 and a grey Jeep. The green GMC pickup truck rolled onto its side causing significant damage to the two northbound vehicles.
The 18-year-old, male driver of the green GMC was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The two other drivers involved sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local-area hospital.
Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
