29-Year-Old Male Arrested After Pretending to be 15-Years-Old

A 29-year-old male has been arrested after pretending to be a 15-year-old boy in order to have a relationship with the 13-year-old victim.

On Friday, April 11, 2025, members of the Special Victims Unit (SVU) concluded an investigation into a male who was pretending to be a youth in order to date a 13-year-old girl. The subject met the victim on Snapchat where he posed as a 15-year-old boy in order to befriend the victim. They then met in person and started a relationship. After a period of months, the relationship became physical.

Information came to light that the suspect was in fact an adult male, prompting the victim to contact police.

Christian SENATO, age 29, of Toronto has been charged with: Sexual Assault; Sexual Interference; Luring a Person Under 16 to Facilitate the Offence of Sexual Assault and Luring a Person Under 16 to Facilitate the Offence of Sexual Interference.

He was held for a bail hearing.
