Armed Carjacking in Oshawa
Police are looking for a male who attempted to carjack a female with a firearm in Oshawa.
On Friday, June 14, 2024, at approximately 5:15 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to an attempted carjacking that occurred in a parking lot in the area of Wentworth Street West and Cedar Street. The victim was sitting in her parked vehicle when a male approached her driver’s door and started pulling on the handle. The suspect demanded the victim exit the vehicle while pointing a firearm at her. The victim was able to quickly drive her vehicle away from the suspect, before contacting police. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
The suspect is described as: male, White, 18-25 years-old, and approximately 5’8” tall. He was wearing a ski mask, with all black clothing.
