Arrest Leads to Recovery of Stolen Machinery

An arrest has led to the recovery of stolen machinery, valued in excess of $24,000.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, members of North Division Criminal Investigations Bureau concluded an investigation into numerous property crimes. Throughout October and November 2024, the suspect committed break and enters at multiple businesses within North Division, stealing heavy equipment and machinery. Investigators were able to trace the suspect to a storage locker in Scarborough where he was attempting to sell the stolen items online. A Criminal Code search warrant was executed, resulting in the recovery of items valued in excess of $24,000.

Andrew HAUSMAN, age 35, of Toronto is charged with: Possess Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 x3; Traffic Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 x2 and Fail to Comply Release Order.

He was held for a bail hearing.
