Chief of Police Change of Command Ceremony

The Durham Regional Police Services Board would like to extend an invitation to members of the media to attend the Chief of Police Change of Command Ceremony on March 24, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.

The ceremony will recognize the contributions of outgoing Chief Todd Rollauer and welcome incoming Chief Designate Peter Moreira.

A Change of Command Ceremony is a tradition in policing, featuring marching, honorary salutes and an inspection of the Honour Guard.  The event will be live-streamed on the DRPS Facebook page.

Chief Designate Moreira will have limited time for interviews following this event. If media are looking for interviews following the ceremony, please contact Media Relations in advance (see below) We will be scheduling separate time with media looking to conduct more in-depth interviews.
