DRPS invites you to Crime Prevention Week
UPDATE: Crime Prevention Week was a huge success. We would like to thank everyone who came to learn from and interact with our members.
-----
DRPS' Community Safety Branch and Auxiliary Unit are at the Pickering Town Centre for Crime Prevention Week to educate residents about how to avoid becoming a victim of crime. Officers are sharing information about elder abuse, fraud and vehicle thefts. Don't forget to stop by our booth in front of The Children's Place clothing store to pickup some DRPS swag.
From November 6 - 12, 2022, Durham Regional Police supports Ontario’s Crime Prevention Week by spreading tips for keeping yourself and your property safe. This year’s theme is Safer. Stronger. Together. We want residents to think about how they can protect themselves, their families, neighbours, and workplaces from crime. Whether crime occurs in the home, on-line, or involves fraud, the theft of a vehicle, physical assaults, or bullying, there is always a victim or group of victims.
Crime prevention involves all of us working together to make our homes, neighbourhoods, and workplaces healthy and safe.
For more information regarding the event, please contact Cst. Rice of the Community Safety Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5632.
