DRPS Community Safety Days
The Community Safety Days hosted by DRPS’ North and West Division saw hundreds of residents come out and enjoy various activities.
Residents had an opportunity to tour vehicles and displays from units such as Forensic Identification, DRPS’ new light armored vehicle, several firetrucks and other emergency services.
Thank you to all residents who attended and spent time learning about policing and fire services - we hope you enjoyed meeting members from our organizations. A highlight for us was seeing your little ones dressed up in their first responder Halloween costumes.
A special thanks to the DRPS' specialty units who volunteered their time, and all of the members who made both events a huge success. Thanks to our community safety partners - Pickering Fire, Region of Durham Paramedic Services, Uxbridge and Brock Township Fire Department who helped make the days a success.

Finally, to all attendees who brought non-perishable food items - because of you, we were able to bring police cruisers full of food to the food bank. We were also able to collect a great deal of pop tabs to support the DRPS Children’s Games. Thank you!
