Drugs Seized During Traffic Stop in Oshawa

Three males are facing charges after a quantity of drugs was located during a traffic stop in Oshawa.

On Sunday, October 20, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., members of Central West Division on proactive patrol initiated a traffic stop in the area of Olive Avenue and Cadillac Avenue South.  As officers approached, the male driver walked away from the vehicle.  The male refused to identify himself and fled from police.  Officers engaged in a short foot pursuit before taking the male into custody.  Two other males remained in the vehicle. Officers observed signs of cannabis use in the vehicle, which was searched under the Cannabis Control Act.  A handgun holster, drug paraphernalia, and over 1,990 Dilaudid pills, were located during the search.

Jayden MALUAL, age 18 from Oshawa is charged with: Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (dilaudid).

Coady Daniel CROWE, age 18 from Oshawa is charged with: Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (dilaudid), and Unlawfully Possess Schedule I Substance (oxycodone).

Aniruddho KAZI, age 21 from Oakville is charged with: Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (dilaudid).

All males were held for a bail hearing.
