Fatal Collision in Scugog

A female has died after a collision in Scugog on Thursday afternoon.

On Thursday, March 13, 2025 at approximately 1:00 p.m., members from North Division responded to a head-on collision involving two vehicles on Lake Ridge Road near Scugog Line 14. A Hyundai Venue was travelling southbound on Lake Ridge Road when it crossed the center line and struck a northbound Hyundai Elantra.

A 29-year-old female passenger in the the Hyundai Elantra was transported to Uxbridge Cottage Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected. This collision is still under investigation.
