Fatal Head-On Collision in Ajax

A 78-year-old female has been pronounced deceased after a head-on collision in Ajax.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of West Division responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the area of Kingston Road West and Elizabeth Street. A grey Honda HRV was travelling eastbound on Kingston Road West when it crossed into the westbound lanes, striking a silver Dodge Journey head-on. The Dodge Journey was then struck by a red Mazda Protégé travelling westbound on Kingston Road West.

The 78-year-old female driver of the Honda HRV was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The female driver of the Dodge Journey was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where she remains in serious condition. No other injuries were reported.

Members of the DRPS’ Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to collect evidence. The investigation remains ongoing.
