Female Arrested for Arson in Oshawa
A female has been arrested after a truck and house were lit on fire in Oshawa.
On Thursday, July 4, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Park Road South and Quebec Street. A female sprayed flammable fluids on a vehicle and residence before igniting both and causing significant damage. The fire department attended the scene and successfully extinguished the fires. The suspect was located a short distance away and taken into custody without incident.
No parties sustained any physical injuries.
This was an isolated incident and there are no concerns for public safety.
Seandelle MONKHOUSE, age 52 from Oshawa is charged with: Arson Causing Damage to Property, Mischief Over $5000, and Arson with Disregard for Human Life x3.
She was held for a bail hearing.
