Female Assaulted After Robbery in Oshawa

A female was transported to a local area hospital after being struck in the head following a robbery in Oshawa.

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a commercial robbery at the G.A.M.E.S. store, located at 1180 Simcoe Street North, in Oshawa.  The suspect entered the business and stole three Pokémon game cards worth approximately $5,000.  An employee chased the suspect when he fled the store, but was struck by the suspect with a hard object.  Police searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital. 

On Friday, July 12, 2024, members of Central East Division located the suspect and took him into custody.

Mark MORGAN, age 41 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Theft Under $5000.
