Female Assaulted by Stranger in Bowmanville
A female is recovering after being grabbed by a stranger in Bowmanville on Saturday morning.
On Saturday, April 6, 2024, at approximately 11:15 a.m., a female was walking her dog southbound on the pathway near Soper Creek Drive and Concession Street East in Bowmanville when she was approached by a male who was unknown to her. The male spoke with the victim and as she attempted to walk away from him, he grabbed her by the neck and told her to come with him. With the assistance of her dog, the victim was able to break free from the male. The male ran north on the pathway toward Concession Street East.
The suspect is described as male, Black, early 30’s, 6’3” tall, medium build, short dark hair, goatee, large neck tattoo. He was wearing a navy zip-up windbreaker, navy athletic shorts, white socks, and dark athletic shoes.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
