Female in Critical Condition after being Shot

A 30-year-old female is in critical condition after suffering from a gunshot wound.

On Thursday, July 11, 2024 at approximately 3:15 a.m., members from West Division responded to Lakeridge Health hospital located at 580 Harwood Avenue South, in Ajax, after receiving reports that a female was dropped off suffering from a gunshot wound.  The female has since been transported to a Toronto-area hospital where she remains in stable but critical condition.   

Anyone with cellphone, dashcam, surveillance footage or information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst Chrzan or D/Cst Baumgartner of the West Division Criminal Investigation Branch at 905-579-1520 ext. 2565 or 2526.

Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
