Four Arrested After Fleeing Police in Stolen Vehicle in Port Perry

Three males and one female are facing charges after fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle in Port Perry.

On Thursday, June 6, 2024, at approximately 1:25 a.m., members of North Division were conducting proactive patrol when their cruiser’s Automated Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) system notified them of a stolen vehicle.  Officers strategically followed the stolen vehicle; however, it fled the area at a high rate of speed.

Police continued to patrol the area and located the stolen vehicle nearby.  The vehicle again fled the area at a high rate of speed, striking a curb causing the vehicle to become immobile.  Four suspects fled the vehicle on foot but were taken into custody a short distance away.

Byron Keith HOADLEY, age 31 from Scugog is charged with: Possess Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Possess Schedule I Substance (cocaine), Fail to Comply with Probation Order, and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

Mohammed GASSIMEL SEAD, age 25 from Toronto is charged with: Possess Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.

Ashley Elizabeth AYOTTE, age 38 from Scugog is charged with: Possess Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

Luke James PELLERINE, age 30 from Toronto is charged with: Possess Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2.

GASSIMEL SEAD, AYOTTE, and PELLERINE were released on an Undertaking.  HOADLEY was held for a bail hearing.
