Male Arrested Following Commercial Robbery in Oshawa
A 28-year-old male has been arrested following the robbery of a convenience store in Oshawa.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a robbery at the Circle K located at 1051 Simcoe Street North. The suspect entered the store and grabbed a quantity of cigarettes before attempting to flee the scene. A witness attempted to block the door, at which point the suspect brandished a box cutter and fled.
There were no physical injuries reported.
Michael BEGGS, age 28, of Oshawa, is facing 10 charges, including: Uttering Threats – Death x2; Assault with a Weapon; Robbery Offensive Weapon; Fail to Comply with Probation x2 and Fail to Comply with Release Order.
He was held for a bail hearing.
