Male Arrested for Indecent Act in Pickering

A male has been arrested after committing an indecent act near a public park in Pickering.

On Monday, April 7, 2025, at approximately 9:50 a.m., members of West Division responded to a sex offence call in the area of Diefenbaker Court and Valley Farm Road. A witness observed a naked male standing outside a tent committing an indecent act near a public playground. Officers located the male a short time later and placed him in custody without incident.

Further investigation revealed that the same suspect was involved in another incident on April 4, 2025. In that incident, the victim reported that the suspect chased after her at a nearby plaza. The victim entered a nearby building and the suspect went in another direction.

No physical injuries were reported.

Steven GAUDETTE, age 37, from Pickering is charged with: Commit Indecent Act in Public Place, Criminal Harassment, Mischief Interfere With Lawful Enjoyment and Disobey Court Order.

He was held for a bail hearing.
