Male Charged with Attempted Murder After Two Violent Stabbings and an assault in Oshawa
A male is facing attempted murder charges after two separate violent stabbings and an assault in Oshawa.
On Thursday, August 29, 2024, at approximately 2:05 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of John Street West and Nassau Street. A male assaulted a female before stabbing another male and fleeing the area. The female sustained minor injuries. The male victim was located suffering from serious stab wounds and was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre in life-threatening condition. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The victim was located suffering from serious stab wounds and was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but non-life-threatening condition. Police searched the area and located the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident.
Lucais Joseph DAYTON, age 22 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault x2, Assault, Assault with a Weapon x4, Carry Concealed Weapon x2, Possess Weapon for Committing Offence x4, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x11.
He was held for a bail hearing.
