Male Facing Stunt Driving Charges in Whitby

A male is facing charges after travelling more than double the speed limit on Highway 401 in Whitby.  

On Thursday, March 14, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Air1 was proactively patrolling when two vehicles were observed travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 401. Both vehicles were travelling at speeds more than 200 km/hr.

Members of Central West Division responded and located one of the vehicles in the area of Taunton Road East and Highway 412. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested.

Ethan NORTHOVER, age 19, of Whitby is charged with: Careless Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle Preform Stunt.

 He was released on a part 3 summons. His license was suspended for 30 days and the motor vehicle impounded for 14 days.
