Male in Custody After Shooting in Pickering
A male has been arrested after he shot at a vehicle in Pickering.
On Monday, September 9, 2024, at approximately 5:10 a.m., members of West Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Sapphire Drive and Dragonfly Avenue. A male shot at a parked vehicle before fleeing the area on foot. Police searched the area and located the suspect, who fled from officers. During the foot pursuit, the suspect discarded a handgun into a green space, before being taken into custody. The handgun was located and seized.
No physical injuries were sustained by any parties as a result of the shooting.
This was an isolated incident.
Liam Jacob MILLER-NORTH, age 25 from Pickering is charged with numerous offences including: Prowl at Night, Point Firearm, Possess Firearm No Licence, Possess Loaded Firearm, Discharge Firearm, and Mischief Over $5000.
