Male in Custody for Driving Stolen Vehicle in Oshawa

A male is in custody after he was found driving a stolen vehicle in Oshawa.

On Thursday, March 7, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., members of Central East Division were proactively patrolling an area near Mary Street and Hillcroft Street, when they were alerted to a stolen vehicle by their cruiser’s Automatic Licence Plate Reader (ALPR).  Additional units were requested and the suspect vehicle was blocked by police.  The driver and passenger were instructed to exit the vehicle and were taken into custody without incident.

Rhain DUNCAN, age 21 from Oshawa is charged with: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.

He was released on an Undertaking.

A female passenger was arrested but released unconditionally.
