Male Located Deceased After Vehicle Fire

A 46-year-old deceased male was located inside a limousine after a vehicle fire in Whitby. 

On Thursday, April 17, 2025 at approximately 8:55 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to an assist fire call in the area of Consumers Drive and Brock Street in Whitby. Firefighters were on scene for a vehicle fire and notified officers that they had located a deceased person within the limo.  

The Office of the Fire Marshal and Coroner attended the scene to conduct an investigation.

The deceased party has been identified as 46-year-old Jason Webber. 

A post-mortem examination found no signs of foul play, and it is believed that the injuries sustained were a result of the fire.

Investigators with the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) have concluded their examination of the scene and efforts to determine the cause, origin, and circumstances remain ongoing.
