Male Stabbed During Altercation in Ajax

A male suffered serious injuries after being stabbed during an altercation in Ajax.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at approximately 6:05 p.m., members of West Division responded to a stabbing call in the area of Taunton Road West and Westney Road North.  The victim was approached by three males and a female while in a parking lot.  A physical altercation occurred resulting in the victim being stabbed.  The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but non-life-threatening condition.  All suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.

Further investigation identified the suspect responsible for the stabbing.  At approximately 10:35 p.m., the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

This was an isolated incident and there are no concerns for public safety.

Hakim J. WILLIAMS, age 25 from Oshawa is charged with: Aggravated Assault, and Assault with a Weapon.

He was released on an Undertaking.
