Male Suspect Wanted in Street Level Robbery

Police are looking for a male suspect who approached an elderly victim in Whitby, armed with a knife, and demanded money.

On Thursday, March 20,2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m., members from Central West Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Pilkington Crescent and Bradley Drive. Officers located the victim who advised that he was out for a walk when he was approached from behind by an unknown male. The suspect grabbed him and demanded money while holding a knife. The victim attempted to fight off the suspect but was struck in the face. 

The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries..

Officers, including the canine and tactical units searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as: male, White, shorter than 6’, medium build. He was wearing a grey/black hooded sweater
