Man Arrested After Firing Guns Inside Oshawa Home
A 43-year-old male has been arrested after discharging firearms in his residence in Oshawa.
On Monday, March 17, 2025, at approximately 3:10 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to the area of Montrave Avenue and Hillside Avenue after police received multiple calls for gunshots. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect walking on the street carrying a rifle. He was arrested without incident.
Investigation revealed that the suspect discharged multiple rounds from firearms while inside the residence.
Eric JONES, age 43, of Oshawa is charged with: Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace; Discharge Firearm Being Reckless as to the Life or Safety of Another Person x3; Careless Use / Storage of a Firearm Carelessly x9; Possess Prohibited Device x2 and Possess a Schedule I Substance.
He was held for a bail hearing.
