Milton Man Arrested after Fraud Investigation

Members of the Financial Crimes Unit have concluded an investigation in relation to a fraud involving lumber products valued at over $46,000.

Between January 9, 2023 and February 1, 2023, a male suspect made several purchases of lumber products from a lumber company in Oshawa.  The suspect arranged to have the lumber delivered to two separate commercial locations in Vaughan and Mississauga. Investigation revealed that the credit card data that was used was stolen from four separate victims. The male suspect was identified during the investigation.

On Thursday March 20, 2025, the suspect was arrested without incident.

Shahbaz PARACHA, age 37, of Milton is charged with: Fraud Over $5000, Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5000 and Unauthorized Use of Credit card data x 4.

He was released on an Undertaking.
