Motorcycle Collision in Whitby
A 34-year-old Whitby male was seriously injured after a motorcycle collision in Whitby.
On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of Central West Division responded to a collision in the area of Thickson Road North and Dryden Boulevard. A Kawasaki motorcycle and Honda SUV were involved in a T-bone collision.
The Kawasaki was reportedly southbound on Thickson Road when it collided with the Honda, which was northbound on Thickson Road turning left to go westbound on Dryden Boulevard. The driver of the Kawasaki sustained serious life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre. The driver of the Honda sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
