Motorcycle Collision Leads to Serious Injuries in Uxbridge

A male has been seriously injured following a collision involving a motorcycle and vehicle in Uxbridge.

On Monday, August 5, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., members of North Division responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger van, in the area of Reach Street and Franklin Street.  A Kawasaki Motorcycle, being operated by a 20-year-old male from Toronto, was eastbound on Reach Street, passing vehicles at a high rate of speed in the westbound lanes, when a Dodge mini-van exited a residential driveway to travel westbound. When the Dodge crossed into the westbound lanes, it was struck by the motorcycle, throwing the motorcycle driver from his bike. 

The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.

Members of the DRPS - Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene and investigated the circumstances of the incident. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. This collision is still under investigation.
