Motorcyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Collision in Scugog

A 65-year-old motorcyclist remains in critical condition following a collision in Scugog.

On Saturday July 20, 2024 at 6:56 p.m. officers from North Division responded to a collision involving a pick-up truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of Regional Road 57 and Nestleton Rd in the Township of Scugog.

A Chevrolet pick-up was heading westbound on Regional Road 57 when it turned left into the path of a Suzuki motorcycle heading eastbound. The motorcycle struck the rear right corner of the Chevrolet pickup, ejecting the 65-year-old male from the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Members of the DRPS - Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. This collision is still under investigation.
