New Headwear for Officers

Durham Regional Police Service officers will be sporting new headwear starting today.

In line with other police services in Ontario, DRPS officers have been issued baseball caps as an alternative to the forage hats, as a part of their uniforms for general front-line patrol duties.

The new headwear was designed with comfort and safety in mind for our front-line members. They feature a full-colour crest on the front, with red striping and POLICE written on the side.

Auxiliary officers and Special Constables will also be issued the new baseball caps with the appropriate side lettering.

The baseball caps are a part of officers’ uniforms and will not be worn while off-duty.
