Numerous Drugs and Guns Seized following Police Investigation
Four adults and one youth are in custody following the completion of an investigation into gun and drug possession.
On Friday, March 8, 2024, members of the Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the DRPS Surveillance Unit, Drug Enforcement Unit, Central East Division Community Response Team, Tactical Support Unit, and Peterborough Police Tactical Support Unit, executed search warrants at three residences in Ajax and Oshawa. As a result, numerous firearms, and a large quantity of drugs were found and seized.
Travendus BEALS, age 36 from Ajax is charged with numerous offences including: Possession of a Loaded Restricted/Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Device, Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order, and Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Dwayne WRIGHT, age 32 from Ajax is charged with numerous offences including: Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence, Possession of a Firearm Knowing the Serial Number has been Tampered With x2, Possession of a Prohibited Device, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, and Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x4.
Kadeem JARRETT, age 32 from Oshawa is charged with numerous offences including: Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence, Possession of a Loaded Restricted/Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Knowing the Serial Number has been Tampered With, Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order, and Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x7.
Kyleigh KANE, age 23 from Oshawa is charged with numerous offences including: Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence, Possession of a Loaded Restricted/Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Knowing the Serial Number has been Tampered With, and Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x4.
A 17-year-old male from Ajax is charged with numerous offences including: Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence, Possession of a Firearm Knowing the Serial Number has been Tampered With x2, Possession of a Prohibited Device, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order, Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x4, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
All parties were held for a bail hearing.
