Oshawa Male Wanted After Assaulting Victim with Firearm

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a male wanted on firearm charges.

On Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at approximately 5:55 p.m., members from Central West Division responded to a residential address in the area of Garden Street and Jerseyville Way in Whitby after receiving a report about an armed person.  Officers arrived on scene and learned an altercation took place inside the home and a male was struck in the head with a firearm.  The victim was transported to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, and despite multiple efforts, investigators have been unable to locate him. Investigators urge the suspect to seek legal counsel and turn himself in. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to come forward.

Jalil Luddin SAYAH age 28 of Oshawa is wanted for multiple offences including Pointing a Firearm and Assault with a Weapon.
