Over 350 Youth Suited Up for Grad

More than 350 students from across Durham Region are ready to walk across the stage in style after attending the DRPS Suits for Youth Event at the Oshawa Centre last week.

With the help of 40 volunteers and DRPS officers, students received support in selecting suits, shirts, and ties—leaving the event prepared and proud in their new graduation outfits.

The positive impact of this initiative was clear, and planning is already underway for next year’s event. Details on future suit donation opportunities will be shared soon.

Special thanks to Cst. Rui Ferreira for leading this important initiative, as well as to everyone who donated clothing, the DRPS Auxiliary Unit, and the Oshawa Centre for providing space and support.

Thanks to your efforts, many students will step into graduation feeling confident and celebrated.
