Pedestrian Struck by School Bus in Oshawa

An elderly pedestrian is in life-threatening condition after being struck by a school bus while crossing the street in Oshawa.

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m., members from Central East Division responded to a collision involving a pedestrian at Simcoe Street South and Mill Street. A female pedestrian was struck by a school bus while crossing Simcoe Street South.

A 68-year-old female was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

There were no injuries to anyone on the school bus. The driver of the bus remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigations Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.

This collision is still under investigation.
