Plunge with DRPS to support Special Olympics

The DRPS Law Enforcement Torch Run Committee is hosting our Annual Polar Bear Plunge in support of Special Olympics.

The Plunge will take place in person this year! At the last in-person event, we raised $29,000.  Join us this year and help us reach our goal of raising $30,000

Enter individually or as a team. Challenge other platoons and/or departments.

The Polar Plunge, presented by the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run is a fun opportunity to support Special Olympics Ontario athletes by taking a flying leap – a leap into very cold water! Registration is $30 or fundraise $100 to waive the registration fee.

SO Athletes and Volunteers - $20 to register or fundraise $75 to waive the registration fee.

The Durham Regional Police “Freezin for a Reason" plunge will take place Thursday March 2, 2022 at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex (1875 Valley Farm Rd, Pickering) . You will be plunging into a bin outside the Rec Centre north entrance.
