Police Looking for Suspect after Shooting in Pickering

Police are looking for a suspect following a shooting Friday morning in Pickering.

On Friday, October 11, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., a female attended West Division to report that she had been shot at.  She advised she was at Tim Horton’s located at Toy Avenue and Bayly Street, in Pickering, when a vehicle honked behind her. The victim left the parking lot, travelling westbound on Bayly Street when she noticed the suspect vehicle trying to catch up to her. The victim signalled to turn into to the Pickering GO Station parking lot to get away from the suspect. The suspect pulled up alongside her and threw a coffee at the car before driving away.

The victim continued west on Bayly Street, when the suspect made a u-turn and began driving towards the victim.  As the vehicles were approaching Liverpool Road the suspect shot at the victim, shattering the driver’s side window.

The victim sustained minor physical injuries.

The suspect is described as male, Black and he was driving a black Jaguar SUV.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with cell phone, dashcam, surveillance footage, or information about this incident to contact police.
