Police Looking to Identify Male in Sexual Assault at Oshawa Mall

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an unknown male in a sexual assault investigation in Oshawa.

On Friday, June 7, 2024 at approximately 2:30 p.m., the complainant was shopping at the Oshawa Centre at 419 King Street West when she was approached by an unknown male who mumbled something and then touched her inappropriately. 

The suspect is described as Male, White, 40-45 years old, 5’9 – 5’11” tall, with a medium build, long brown hair and a long brown/grey beard that is short on his face and much longer on his chin.  He was wearing a blue tie-dye bucket hat and blue t-shirt.

Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
