Stolen Car Keys Recovered After Break-and-Enter Investigation in Oshawa
Police have recovered 16 sets of car keys stolen during a break-and-enter at a business in Oshawa.
On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at approximately 5:45 a.m., members from Central East Division responded to a break-and-enter in progress at Durham Truck Tires, located at 446 Simcoe Street South. Upon arrival, the suspects had already fled the scene. An investigation revealed that multiple sets of car keys, belonging to vehicles on the premises, had been stolen.
On Thursday, February 20, 2025, the East Crime Team executed a search warrant at a motel room on 695 King Street East in Oshawa. During the search, officers recovered 16 sets of vehicle keys that were stolen. They have since been returned to their rightful owners. Two suspects were taken into custody nearby, and a warrant is being issued for a third individual.
Brandon HAYNES, age 30 of Oshawa has been charged with Break and Enter to Commit, Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under and Fail to Comply with Probation. He was released on an undertaking.
Jerrica CLARE, age 36 of Clarington has been charged with Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under and Fail to Comply with Release Order x2. CLARE was also arrested on the strength of a Bench Warrant for failing to attend court. She was held for a bail hearing.
