Stolen Vehicles Recovered and Male Arrested for Auto Theft
Police have arrested a male for auto theft in Pickering and have recovered two vehicles and a trailer.
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at approximately 4:45 p.m., members of West Division responded to a rural property in the area of York Durham Line and 9th Concession Road after a stolen vehicle that had been tracked to this location. Officers located the vehicle and an additional stolen vehicle. The suspect was arrested when he returned to the property.
With the assistance of members of DRPS’ West Criminal Investigations Branch and Project Attire – Auto Theft Unit, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed on the property resulting in the recovery of a stolen trailer. In total, two vehicles and a trailer were recovered.
Daniel SCOTT, age 65, of Pickering is charged with: Theft of Motor Vehicle; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 x2 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000.
He was released on an Undertaking.
