Suits for Youth
Suits for Youth
More than 250 youth from across Durham Region are "suited up" for graduation after attending the DRPS Suits for Youth Event this week at the Oshawa Centre.
It was a very busy day for the 36 volunteers and officers as they assisted students with suit, shirt and tie selection. Students were all smiles as they left with their carefully selected graduation gear.
With so many students benefitting from this initiative, organizers are already looking ahead to next year. Stay tuned for news about suit donations!
A special thanks to Cst. Rui Ferreira and Sgt. Sean McConnell for spearheading this event.
DRPS would like to thank all who donated clothing, the members and volunteers who participated including the DRPS Auxiliary Unit, and the Oshawa Centre for providing the space. Also to these sponsors:
Tommy Gun’s Original Barbershop
