Suspect Arrested After Stabbing in Oshawa

A 30-year-old male has been arrested for two incidents, including a stabbing, in Oshawa.

 

On Friday, October 18, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to the area of Oxford Street and Wentworth Street West, in Oshawa for a stabbing. Officers arrived and located a victim with a stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.

 

On Friday, October 18, 2024, at approximately 12:45 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a call for a male with a knife in the area of Oxford Street and Wentworth Street West, in Oshawa. Officers began to search the area for the suspect, who could be heard yelling in the area. The suspect was quickly located and taken into custody.

 

Jaleel ALLEN, age 30, from Oshawa is charged with a number of offences from the two incidents, including: Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm x2; Assault with a Weapon and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.  

 

He was held for a bail hearing.
