Suspect Wanted for Theft from Motor Vehicle
Police are looking for a suspect who broke into a vehicle and stole numerous identity and banking cards.
Between 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., on Monday, August 19, 2024, a male broke into a Lexus SUV that was parked in the area of Splendor Drive and Vineyard Avenue, in Whitby. The suspect stole numerous personal items, banking cards, cash, and identity documents before fleeing the area.
A short time later, the suspect used the banking cards at multiple gas stations in Oshawa and Whitby.
The suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 6’ tall, with short afro style hair, and full beard. He was wearing a black t-shirt, gold necklace, gold bracelet on his right wrist, black pants, and black shoes.
