Two Arrested After Stabbing in Oshawa

Two males are facing charges after a stabbing near a skatepark in Oshawa.

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at approximately 5:05 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a stabbing near a skatepark, located in the area of Nonquon Road and Mary Street North.  Two males physically assaulted and stabbed another male following a verbal altercation, before fleeing the area.  Officers, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, searched the area and located both suspects a short distance away, hiding in an apartment complex stairwell.  Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.

The victim suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre.  His condition has since been upgraded to stable.

Quinntin Robert CURLEY, age 18 from Oshawa is charged with: Aggravated Assault, Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public, Fail to Comply with Release Order, and Disobey Court Order.

A 17-year-old male of No Fixed Address is charged with: Aggravated Assault, and Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public.

Both were held for a bail hearing.
