Two Arrested After Stealing Vehicle in Pickering
Two males were arrested after stealing a vehicle in Pickering.
On Sunday, February 2, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., members from West Division responded to a restaurant in the area of Kingston Road and Valley Farm Road for a vehicle that had just been stolen. The victim left his vehicle running while he went inside the business and two males entered the vehicle and fled.
Officers were able to track the location of the vehicle and the empty vehicle was located in a parking lot in Scarborough. With the assistance of York Regional Police Service’s AIR2, the suspects were quickly located near the vehicle. The DRPS’ K9 team was deployed and both suspects were arrested, with the assistance of Toronto Police Service.
James ANTHONY, age 43, of Pickering is charged with: Theft of Motor Vehicle and Fail to Comply with Release Order.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Jenson Conboy, age 50, of No Fixed Address is charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle, Obstruct Peace Officer, Aiding and Abetting in a Release order and Breach of Probation x2.
He was held for a bail hearing.
