Two Males Arrested for Vehicle Theft in Ajax
Two males are in custody after attempting to steal a vehicle from a residence and fleeing from police in Ajax.
On Monday, March 11, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., members of West Division responded to a vehicle theft in the area of Snowling Drive and Rushworth Drive. The victim observed two males attempting to steal his vehicle from his driveway and confronted the suspects who fled the area in a red vehicle. Police located the suspect vehicle driving away from the area and strategically followed it. The suspect vehicle was driving at excessive speeds causing it to lose control and collide with a road sign nearby. Officers checked the vehicle and confirmed the suspects had fled the on foot.
Police, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, searched the area and located the two suspect males a short distance away. They were both taken into custody without incident.
Hussein ALIBRAHIM, age 20 from Milton is charged with: Attempt Theft Over $5000, and Mischief Under $5000.
Oday NOMERY, age 26 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Attempt Theft Over $5000, Mischief Under $5000, and Obstruct Peace Officer.
Both parties were held for a bail hearing.
