Two Males Charged After Fight at Pickering Restaurant
Two males are facing charges after a fight inside a Pickering restaurant.
On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at approximately 1:35 a.m., members of West Division responded to an armed person call at the New Knight’s Corner Pub and Grill, located at 605 Kingston Road, in Pickering. A fight between two males throwing glassware at each other, occurred while both were inside the restaurant. During the fight, a portion of one of the male’s ears was bitten off. Police arrived on scene and located both males, who were taken into custody without incident.
Both were transported to a local-area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Todd DOWNEY, age 44 from Pickering is charged with: Aggravated Assault.
Nigel WORRELL, age 49 from Toronto is charged with: Assault Cause Bodily Harm.
Both were released on an Undertaking.
This investigation is ongoing.
