Two Males Facing Fraud Charges After Traffic Stop
Two males are facing fraud related charges after a traffic stop in Oshawa.
On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., members from the East Division Community Response Unit were on proactive patrol in the area of Stevenson Road South and Gibb Street when they stopped a motor vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act violation. During the course of the investigation, the driver refused to identity himself. The males in the vehicle were detained and as a result numerous counterfeit identity documents were located and seized.
Jeremie LEFRANCOIS, age 24 of Quebec is charged with Possession Forged Passport x2, Possess Identify Document x 9 and Possess Identity Information with Inference of Fraud x3.
Eugene CAISSE, age 29 of Quebec is charged with Possession Forged Passport, Possess Identify Document x 10 and Possess Identity Information with Inference of Fraud x3 and Possess Credit Card x2.
Both males were held for a bail hearing.
